While we've had the nursery mostly set up for a few months now, we finally put the finishing touches on, so I feel like I can finally
post pictures of it. We decided on a neutral palate of grey and yellow, with lots of fun (and handmade) touches here and there.
We tried to balance out newer, more generic items with special details like the
Ryan Berkley prints in vintage frames and the banner made by Aunt Katie.
The chaise lounge and butterfly print are both from Ikea, the crib and changing table are Graco, and the mobile
was handmade by me (tutorial to come later this week). All the throw pillows were made by my genius mother.
We've had this print by Alex's grandfather in the house for a while now, but it seemed
especially perfect for the nursery (and the little girl in the painting is Alex's mom!)
My mom painted this old wood dresser white, and we added simple grey and white knobs from Home Depot. We found
old crates at an antique store on Queen Street and turned them into shelves for small books and little knickknacks
You may remember our rocking chair tutorial from a while back. My mom made
a new slip cover for the cushion and some throw pillows to spruce it up a bit.
And there's me - 39 weeks, 4 days pregnant!

Go, girls!
